BARRETT TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Monroe County coroner has identified the woman killed in a crash over the weekend. Monroe County Coroner Thomas A. Yanac says Linda Knecht, 63, of Barrett Township, was pronounced dead just after 8:30 p.m. at the scene of the crash on April 5. Pa. police officer shot in line of duty Pocono Mountain Regional Police were called to the one-car crash on Route 447 between Long and Gravel roads just before 7:30 p.m. Pocono Mountain Mountain Regional Police is handling the investigation. Yanac says Knecht died of blunt force trauma and her death has been ruled accidental.

Officials say the Pocono Mountain Regional Police were called at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday for a reported crash on Route 447 between Long Road and Gravel Road in Barrett Township. Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac confirmed with 28/22 News a woman had passed away at the scene.
