PUBLIC NOTICE OF HEARING AND OF INTENTION TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Stroud Township will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, beginning at 6:30 P.M., at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 N. 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 27 (Zoning) of the Stroud Township Code of Ordinances. The proposed ordinance would add a new use category known as “adolescent group home” and add new definitions and regulations for that use.

STROUD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say a Stroudsburg man was arrested after allegedly beating a 60-year-old man with a belt before stabbing him on Tuesday.

The Stroud Township Police Department says 26-year-old Stroudsburg resident, Jerry Morris, is facing multiple charges, including Felony Count of Attempted Criminal Homicide and Aggravated Assault, among other related charges.
