PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Zoning Hearing Board of Stroud Township will conduct a Public Hearing at the Stroud Township Municipal Building, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 6:30 pm to consider the following: ZHB #24-06 Applicant Sandra Wilkins of 102 Meadow Run Lane, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Applicant seeks a special exception approval to establish a two-family dwelling in accordance with Ordinance §27-502.B. The property is located at the southeast corner of Meadow Run Lane and Mazzetti Road.

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority offers additional recycling services. These additional recycling services are optional and secondary to your municipal waste and recycling program. You MUST be a registered user in order to utilize both recycling sites.

Please register below for a recycling permit before visiting any of our recycling sites.

The recycling permit application is currently FREE. One recycling permit per household. Recycling permit can be used at both recycling sites.

STROUD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new law to go into effect this year in the Keystone State is aimed at helping first responders diagnosed with post-traumatic stress injury.

Grabbing gear and heading toward a building engulfed in flames or helping a person involved in a car crash in the dead of winter.

It’s a response that emergency crews don’t think twice about doing or the mental impact it will have on them afterward.

Monroe County is starting work on a Price Township bridge, as well as two in Polk Township. The bridge is over the Brodhead Creek on Clark Road (Township Road 533) near the intersection with Route 447. 

Robert Gress, chief clerk for the county, said the bridge was built in 1956 and needs a steel I-beam replaced, wing wall work off the shoulder, and other structural repairs.
