Stroudsburg Boys’ Basketball secures win on Senior Night
On January 30, 2025, the Stroudsburg boys’ basketball team defeated Plesant Valley 64-54 on Senior Night. This was the first time Stroudsburg had defeated PV since 2021.
Stroudsburg came into this game with high hopes of taking down PV, especially against a home crowd and on Senior Night. Stroudsburg was celebrating this game for all of its senior cheerleaders and boys’ basketball players. A big congratulations to Marvin Dorvilus and Alex Pacitti.
Both teams were off to a slow start, exchanging baskets with the score of 16-11 at the end in favor of Stroudsburg.
Stroudsburg was able to hold this lead going into halftime with the score 29-26. Coming out of the half, the game plan for Stroudsburg was different, but the results stayed the same with Stroudsburg leading 49-43 going to the final quarter of regulations. After an exciting fourth quarter, Stroudsburg was able to secure its fourth win on the season 64-54.
