Pennsylvanians Deserve the Truth about Electricity Costs
This week, Gov. Josh Shapiro made multiple announcements about the cost of electricity in Pennsylvania. One of those claims is that customers will save billions of dollars through an agreement he made with PJM, a regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or part of 13 states and the District of Columbia.
The reality is that none of the governor’s announcements will save any of us a single dollar on our electric bills. The truth is that his administration’s policies have directly contributed to higher prices.

Boys Wrestling Recap
On Wednesday, January 29, the Stroudsburg Boys’ Wrestling team ended their season on a high note with a win against Pleasant Valley, finalizing their regular season record at 13-7.
Rolling into 2025, the team was 4-4, seemingly unable to string together multiple wins in a row, following each win with frustratingly close losses.
Hungry to be the best team in the mountain, they traveled to Upper Merion High School on January 4 to the Battle of Valley Forge tournament. The Mountaineers went home undefeated, going 5-0 with multiple 20+ point wins. With the first-place finish, Stroudsburg successfully sent a statement to the rest of the mountain, skyrocketing their record to 9-4 and cementing themselves as the top-seeded team in the EPC North.

Hercules or Herakles?
Disney is well known for adapting stories from around the world. Taking inspiration from the Brothers Grimm, classic novels, and other stories from around the world adapted to child-friendly movies that capture the hearts of millions.
Unfortunately, some of these changes leave the wrong impression of these classic tales and when people find out the original story is not only completely different but gruesome that “happily ever after” ending will never be looked at the same.
The movie “Hercules” has misinformed people on the true story of Hercules and fans of classic Greek myths have been more than happy to point out what the Disney version got wrong.
The Disney movie tells the tale of Hercules, a Greek god turned human, and his journey earning his place back on Olympus (the home of the gods). Along the way, he falls in love with Megara and must avoid the wrath of Hades, the god of the underworld.
