Renewing the Call for Lifesaving Cardiac Preparedness Legislation This week at the Capitol, I was proud to stand alongside survivors, advocates, fellow legislators, and members of the Smart Heart Sports Coalition to renew my call for the passage of Senate Bill 375—legislation I’ve introduced to better protect our students and school communities from sudden cardiac arrest. As you may know, this legislation was initiated after the tragic loss of 15-year-old Greg Moyer, who passed away from sudden cardiac arrest during a basketball game in 2000. Greg’s mother, Rachel, has been a tireless advocate ever since.
