Public Notice Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read by the Board of Supervisors of Stroud Township at their regular meeting scheduled to be held at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM for the purchase of the following, to wit: 54,700 square yards, more or less, Double Bituminous Seal Coat as directed by the Township. Bidders shall supply all labor, materials, and equipment, for the application of bituminous seal coat, including traffic control and the installation of temporary construction signs, as directed by the Township. All materials and work shall conform to PennDOT specifications and standards as provided in Publication 408, and with specifications provided in the bid packet. Contractors shall be PennDOT pre-qualified. The Township Manager shall receive all bids by 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, May 30, 2024, beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, PA 18372, to consider three appeals by PoconoPlaces, LLC (Appellant) from Enforcement Notices issued by the Pocono Township Zoning Officer. I’d say my favorite sport is volleyball, I don’t play it athletically it’s more of just a hobby. I like it because it’s a fast-paced sport.

I have an Australian Shepard and two cats.

How do you think you’ll feel in the High School?

I think I’ll get lost a lot, but I think I’ll thrive there because there are so many more opportunities.

East Stroudsburg University’s College of Education was recognized by Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 (CIU20) with an Excellence in Education Award. The College of Education was honored for the Aspiring Educator Pathway Project (AEPP).

The vision of ESU’s AEPP is to proactively combat the education workforce shortage, by working collaboratively with local school entities and community partners in the development of future teacher clubs and developing cohorts of students to learn more about the profession of education.

We found out that the lady that works at the alcohol section in 300 Lincoln Ave. Giant is missing. She was last seen leaving work 10pm yesterday in an her old Jeep Liberty (olive green color) and has been missing since then. She did not report to work this morning. The workers there already called the hospitals with no luck. Unfortunately, that's all the information I have. I will update this post if I get more info. If anyone notices anything, please call the police. She is 55, short hair, white.

Confirmed with Paradise Twp municipal secretary, DCNR, and the person in charge of gypsy moth spraying...the helicopter activity in our area is due to DCNR spraying for gypsy moths. They use Bacillus Thuringiensis Kurstaki (BTK), a biological pesticide that targets caterpillars in a very particular stage of development. They're spraying trees, not meadows. That was just an FYI.
