Cassadi Newsome, 19, walked out of district court covering his face after waiving his preliminary hearing Tuesday morning.He's accused of sexually assaulting three children at Inch by Inch Child Care on Route 940 in Pocono Summit.Police say Newsome started working at the daycare in July of 2024 doing odd jobs but was was then hired to help with daily activities in his mother's classroom.Edwin Abrahamsen Jr. is representing one of the families whose daughter was allegedly abused by Newsome.

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is on the run and a woman is facing several charges after police say they found children in a car with pot after a chase in Monroe County Sunday. According to court documents, on Sunday at about 11:10 p.m., a state trooper was driving east on State Route 611 in Stroudsburg when they saw a silver Mercedes traveling in front of them. State police say the car was seen swerving on the road and driving above the posted speed limit.

Three people face charges after allegedly attempting to set a house on fire in Monroe County.  Traill Labar Jr., Isaiah Garcia, and Chapel Iliev face several charges, including attempted criminal homicide and arson. Pocono Mountain Regional Police say Traill Labar Jr., Isaiah Garcia, and Chapel Iliev used several Molotov cocktails to try to set fire to a home along Pine Knob Lane in Canadensis in December of 2023 after an argument over a bottle of alcohol.
