On April 27, 2025, officers from the Pocono Township Police Department responded to Great Wolf Lodge, Scotrun, for a reported sexual assault of a 13 year old female. Officers made contact with the victim who advised that she had met a male, later identified as 18 year old Walkin Rodriguez Valenzuela, the defendant in this matter, in the resort lobby and the two had gone to his room. While in the room, the victim had been sexually assaulted by the defendant. The victim advised that the defendant tried multiple times to have sex with her and forced her to perform sexual acts on him. The victim advised that the defendant did not disclose that he was 18 years old.
Officers made contact with the defendant, who admitted to kissing and rubbing the victim while in his motel room, but denied trying to have sex with the victim or attempting to get her to perform sexual acts on him. The defendant advised that he was not aware that the victim was 13 years old.
On May 8, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued for the defendant for felony 1 rape, felony 1 involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, felony 2 statutory sexual assault, felony 2 sexual assault, felony 2 aggravated indecent assault, felony 3 corruption of minors, felony 2 unlawful contact with a minor, and misdemeanor indecent assault.
