The first of two required public hearings regarding Monroe County and on behalf of East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg Borough FFY 2024 CDBG program will be held as follows on:

A 70-year-old Stroudsburg man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash in New Jersey.
According to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Arthur John Latzko died at the scene of the crash on Route 31 in Clinton Township.
A dump truck and a Toyota sedan, both northbound, collided on Tuesday afternoon, the prosecutor’s office said. The sedan then hit a southbound Volkswagen in which Latzko was a passenger.

The Stroudsburg Borough Council will consider enacting a Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA) ordinance during Tuesday’s meeting.
The state LERTA Act allows “local taxing authorities to exempt new construction in deteriorated areas of economically depressed communities and improvements to certain deteriorated industrial, commercial and other business property.”
