Community Unites to Keep TLC Park Basketball Courts in Tannersville Open

Submitted by john.galt on

As a resident deeply rooted in the Pocono  community, I find the recent proposal to shut down the TLC Park basketball courts not only unfair, but detrimental to our town. This move comes in response to a singular, unfortunate incident of violence that happened last week. I believe punishing the entire community for the actions of one individual is a direct attack on the spirit of our community.

Paradise Township Enforces New Regulations on Former Chestnut Grove Resort Property to Address Community Concerns

Submitted by john.galt on
(MONROE COUNTY REPORTER) Paradise Township — In response to increasing concerns from local residents, Paradise Township has enforced a new set of regulations on the property at 106 Carlton Road, formerly known as Chestnut Grove Resort. The property, now owned by Chestnut Grove Resort Realty, LLC ("CGRR"), has been a source of noise and disruption since its acquisition by Joseph Mamrout and Albert Mamrout, who are using it for private purposes. The transition from a public resort to private use has led to numerous complaints from neighbors regarding noise violations, late-night fireworks, and other disturbances. Existing ordinances were deemed insufficient to address these issues, prompting the township to impose stricter regulations.
