October Ghost Stories

Like many locations across the globe, Eastern Pennsylvania is home to some of its own chilling ghost stories. These ghost stories vary depending on the region and history of the Pennslyavian location. Our first ghost story of the month is about Stroudsburg local, Don Decker, also known as “Rain Man.” Don Decker was granted a leave of absence from the county jail in February 1983 to attend a funeral for his late grandfather, James Kishpaugh. After the funeral, Don Decker decided to spend the night with his friends Bob and Jeannie Keiffer. While there, something unusual happened! Decker fell into a trance-like state and much to the shock of his friends, water began to drip from the living room walls. The Keiffers immediately notified their landlord, Ron Van Why, but when Van Why arrived, he was puzzled by the Keiffer’s situation.
