Description Please be advised that the Coolbaugh Township Recycling Center located at 549 Laurel Drive will be closed on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th in order to seal the parking lot. No person or vehicles will be permitted on the property. This includes anyone that is interested in picking up mulch or dropping off items to the bins on the property. The Recycling Center will reopen on Monday, August 12th at 7:30am.

STROUD TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people were arrested in Florida for their alleged involvement in a Monroe County shooting after a two-year-long investigation. According to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, on August 2 Alexandra Hidalgo, 28, and Kylan Coombs, 25, were taken into custody in Miami, Florida, after a warrant was issued for their arrest on August 19, 2022. Investigators stated on August 7, 2022, around 1:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 600 Block of Main Street.  Man arrested after Scranton stabbing Through further investigation, police said the shooting occurred after a fight in a local bar that involved three people, afterwards, Hidalgo and Coombs got into a car and then shot at a man walking in the area.
