Celebrating 20 years of booming business in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A fireworks company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The fireworks outlet has been serving the Poconos area at three locations across Monroe County including Mount Pocono, Tannersville, and in Marshalls Creek.

This is the time of year when business is booming.

Fourth of July fireworks safety 

They have products ranging from simple fireworks and sparklers to professional-grade mortar shells.

"Some of the new items we have are in some of our mortar shells. We have a brand new six-inch shell. We have a new seven-inch shell. It's gonna be one of the more exciting years in fireworks," Fireworks Outlet Owner Ken Schuchman said.

The owner adds it's important to keep safety tips in mind if you are going to set off fireworks.

Happy 4th of July! Pocono Mountain Public Library will be closed Thursday, July 4th--but we'll be open on Friday, July 5th and Saturday July 6th at our regular hours where you can come in to check out books and/or movies.


If you're feeling particularly patriotic, check out our 4th of July display of historical fiction on the 2nd floor. We have hundreds of great works about American history!
