Event Title: Drones 101: A Crash Course on All Things Drone

Join us for an enlightening evening exploring the fascinating world of drones. This lecture program will cover what drones are, their diverse and profitable applications, and the boundaries and regulations that govern their use. Delve into the controversies surrounding drone technology, including privacy concerns and safety issues, and gain insights into the role of the FAA and the process for obtaining a drone license (Part 107). The evening will conclude with a Q&A session.

But for some, especially America’s heroes, those traditions can be mentally grueling.

The crackling pop of fireworks will be heard throughout our area this week for the 4th of July.

Many enjoy the shimmering displays, for some, however, it can be traumatic.

Retired Sergeant Major Claudette Williams served in the U.S. Army for 30 years.

“Those triggers, those sounds, those flashing lights, all of these things are a contributor to their experience in their service.”

Now operating the Women Veterans Museum in Mount Pocono, she explains how veterans suffering from PTSD can be affected by spontaneous fireworks.

Monroe County Community Partnership for Gun Safety Strategic Plan
Details Firearm Crime Trends and Outlines Goals

Monroe County, PA—A countywide strategic plan focused on gun safety in Monroe County is now available for all community members to review. Informed by data analysis, surveys, and focus groups the intention of the strategic plan is to achieve realistic, local-level, data-driven, research-based recommendations, policies, and practices that promote firearm safety and prevent gun violence.

Monroe County, PA - The Monroe County Reporter is excited to announce a special incentive for concerned citizens to contribute to local journalism. To celebrate our launch, we are offering two free Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7" tablets to the first two citizens who submit stories that get published on our platform.
