Delivering Results: Senator Brown Publishes Complete List of Passed Laws

Since being elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2010 and later to the Pennsylvania State Senate in 2022, I have worked diligently to remain accessible, dedicated, and a common-sense problem-solver for our community. I am proud to have successfully passed several bipartisan laws during my time in the legislature, always prioritizing our district’s needs.

To showcase the work we’ve accomplished together, I’ve compiled a comprehensive list of the legislation I have personally authored. I invite you to review this list and see how we are making progress on issues critical to our community.

Today, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced his appointments to the newly established State Board of Higher Education (www.pa.gov/en/governor/newsroom/2024-press-releases), and East Stroudsburg University is pleased to share that President Kenneth Long has been appointed to this distinguished board.

The East Stroudsburg University Foundation has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development to support upgrades at the university’s Speech and Hearing Center. The funding, which was secured by the work of Rep. Maureen Madden, will facilitate the acquisition of a new VALT Video Observation and Recording System and ClinicNote, a cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant electronic medical records platform.

“I am beyond thrilled to have played a role in securing these taxpayer funds for our community. ESU’s Speech and Hearing Center has long been at the forefront of innovation in treatment and training in speech and hearing therapies.” said Rep. Madden. “The addition of the VALT program and ClinicNotes software continues ESU’s commitment of providing the best possible care for clients and invaluable education for care providers. I look forward to witnessing the impact these new capabilities will ensure.”
