The Department of Political Science and Economics at East Stroudsburg University is proud to announce that Dr. Darrell Driver is the fall 2024 Kurt Wimer International Lecture Series speaker. His lecture will be on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 p.m. in the Niedbala Auditorium located inside the Warren E. ’55 & Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.
Dr. Driver (U.S. Army Colonel, retired) is the Co-Director of the Advanced Strategic Art Program at the U.S. Army War College. He will speak on how collectivizing European and North American security is an essential pillar of the peace and prosperity we enjoy today.
Pocono Latin Fest

East Stroudsburg University will be hosting the eleventh annual Pocono Latin Fest on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5-10 pm at College Circle.
The festival will be filled with Latin culture, foods, music, and activities.
Admission is free. Celebrate Latin culture and Hispanic heritage.

Volleyball loses to Parkland
On Wednesday, September 18, Stroudsburg lost to Parkland 3-0.
Knowing Parkland is a strong team, Stroudsburg came out strong gaining the lead in the first set of the game.
Parkland would then rally back and take the first set. The two teams would go back and forth through the second set, with Parkland taking the second set.
The third set was a thriller to watch as players battled point for point with the game on the line. Extra points were needed to determine a winner and Parkland ended on top of at the end, winning 28-26, sweeping Stroudsburg.
Back in action, the Mountaineers would defeat Pleasant Valley in four sets on Friday. Their season record sits at 8-5 with their next match coming up tomorrow against Bethlehem Catholic.
