SWIFTWATER, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have issued a felony arrest warrant for a man who they say fled an officer, leading to a high-speed chase. On January 7, police issued an arrest warrant for Gilbert Vasquez, 30, who was pulled over for a traffic stop for an equipment violation back on June 14, 2024. According to authorities, Vasquez then fled from the officer which resulted in a multi-officer high-speed chase. Coroner releases autopsy results in Schuylkill Haven death investigation Police say they eventually terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns.
