The Girls’ basketball team started this season strongly with return players McKayla Strunk ´25 and Emily Bozena ’25, both leading the team in scoring. Adriana Borzio, ’26, scored four of the six points earned in the first half.

Jordyn Worelds-Lippin, ’26, said,¨ This had to be one of the hardest games we’ve had this season.¨

Emmaus, with a record of 11-1, is a strong team with two years of consistency and the same returning players who practice year-round.

Borzio explained, “We need to work on better communication and working together.”

Senior, McKayla Strunk, and her sister, junior, Teagan Strunk scored consistently in the end though it was not enough to make a come-back.

Lippin explained, “We have to play Stroudsburg basketball and not to the level of our competitors, and not psych ourselves out.”

SHS ladies’ basketball is now  7-3.
