Two Wednesday's a month, Pocono Mountain Public Library hosts a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activity. The next STEAM Wednesday will be on December 21st at 4pm where kids (and adults) will get their engineering mind working while making a roller coaster out of file folders. Sanitation Request For Bids #3

The Borough of Mount Pocono will receive sealed bids for municipal solid waste collection and disposal services, curbside recycling collection and processing services; and leaf/yard waste collection and processing services at the Mount Pocono Borough Office, 1361 Pocono Boulevard, Suite 100, Mount Pocono, PA until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time. It is the bidder’s responsibility to have all bid proposals delivered on time.  No late proposals will be accepted.  Sealed Bids must be mailed or hand delivered.  Faxes and emails are not acceptable.

Northampton Community College Offers English Language, Civics, and GED Programs

Northampton Community College is offering English Language, English Language and Civics Education, and GED classes at both the Monroe County campus in Tannersville, PA, and the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem, PA. In-person, online, and hybrid options are offered for all three programs.

How To Enroll

  • Two Locations Available:
    • Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E Third Street, Suite 450 in Bethlehem
    • Monroe Campus, 2411 PA-715, Kapp Hall Room 021 in Tannersville
  • Complete an intake and sign-up for a New Student Orientation
  • Must be 18 years old and living in the United States
  • In-Person, Online, and Hybrid options are available

        2023 Township Budget & Public Hearing | Pocono Township

        PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

        NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, will consider for adoption at a Public Hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m. on the 29th day of December 2022, at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania, 18372, an Ordinance adopting a Budget and Appropriating Funds estimated to be required for the Purposes of the Government of the Township of Pocono and Fixing the Real Estate Millage Rate for the 2023 Fiscal Year.

        Copies of the proposed text of the Ordinance summarized below may be examined by any citizen of the Township of Pocono at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, PA during normal business hours. The below attachment is a summary of the Ordinance in reasonable detail.

We'll have all your favorite brunch yummies, including a carving station, omelet station, buffet and dessert station. Reservations can be made here. $29.95 for adults. $11.95 for 12 and under. Free for 2 and under.

        PMEDC Holds Annual Dinner and Releases Annual Report

        PMEDC’s Annual Dinner was held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Famularo’s Catering and Banquets in Paradise Valley, PA.  In attendance were PMEDC members, board members, elected officials and community leaders.

        Chuck Leonard, Executive Director, provided an overview of the current economic climate in Monroe County, PA  and the 2022 Annual Report was distributed.

        2024 Leaf Collection Schedule

        East Stroudsburg Borough 2024 Leaf Collection Schedule

        The Borough of East Stroudsburg will begin leaf collection on Tuesday, October 15 and will continue through Friday, December 13, 2024.

        Residents should rake leaves to the edge/curbside of their properties without blocking sidewalks, roadways or storm drains.  Please ensure the collection piles only contain leaves with no other debris such as limbs, sticks, stumps, or grass clippings.
