East Stroudsburg University Recognizes Student Organizations with Awards

Student Award Reception Banquet

East Stroudsburg University’s Student Activity Association, in conjunction with the Student Government Association, hosted their annual Student Organization Award Banquet on Sunday, February 25. The banquet honored select clubs and organizations for their achievements during the 2023 calendar year. During the banquet the following awards were presented:

Most Active on Campus Award – Christian Fellowship; Community Service/ Philanthropy Program Award – Council of Exceptional Children, Sigma Pi Epsilon Delta and Student Pennsylvania State Education Association for STEM Days; Most Active in the Community – Outings Club; Multicultural Program Award – Mu Sigma Upsilon for You Can’t Touch My Hair; Educational Program Award – Hospitality and Tourism Management Club for Hospitality Adventures Experiences; Entertainment/Social Program Award – WESS-FM Radio for Spring Jam and Student Engagement Leader Team; Most Involved in Fundraising – Student Nurse Association; Fundraising Program/Event Award – Computer Science Organization for Extra-Life Fundraiser Livestream; Club of the Year Award – Best Buddies; Club Sports of the Year Award – Women’s Rugby; Student Engagement Hero Award – Artist Guild.

The Five-Star Organizations for 2023 were Best Buddies, Latin American Association, MANA-A National Latina Organization, Pre-Medicine Club, and Artist Guild.

Kiondre Kenner, a senior majoring in hotel restaurant and tourism management from Allentown, Pa., received the Robert J. Dillman Student Leader Impact Award. Sam Exeter, a junior majoring in exercise science from Royersford, Pa., received the Rising Star Award. Aida Garcia-Cole, graduation services coordinator, received the Outstanding Advisor Award for her role as advisor to MANA-A National Latina Organization.
