Tom Meglioranze, Reiko Uchida Beacon Hill Concerts welcomes the outstanding duo of baritone Tom Meglioranza and piano accompanist Reiko Uchida back to the stage for their third performance at the Beacon Hill Music Hall. Join them on Saturday, June 29 at 4:00pm for a performance of “Mid (20th) Century American Songs, 1945 – 1965”. For this concert, Tom has put together a program of American music, opening a new window on this period of rapid change in America (1945 – 1965) that brought with it the promise of growth and prosperity, but also the uncertainty of the beginning of the atomic age.

TANNERSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police arrested and charged a woman after she allegedly assaulted employees at a gas station in Monroe County. On May 26th around 11:00 p.m., officers from the Pocono Township Police Department were driving on State Route 715 and heard an alarm coming from the ONVO gas station. Police said they pulled over and heard screaming inside the gas station by the employee side entrance. Officers stated they entered the store and saw a man and a woman, later identified as 37-year-old Nicole Loposky of Moscow in a fight on the floor.

The next meeting of the East Stroudsburg Council of Trustees is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024. Committees and the full board will meet as follows: Committee Meetings Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:30 – 4 p.m. Council of Trustees Full Board Meeting Time: 4 p.m. The Council of Trustees will meet both in person and via zoom. In-person meetings will be held at the East Stroudsburg University Lower Sycamore Meeting Room, 047.  However, we continue to offer the option to participate via zoom.

TANNERSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for three people who they say committed two separate retail thefts at the Pocono Premium Outlets. The Pocono Township Police Department is looking to identify three suspects who allegedly stole form BOSS located in the Pocono Premium Outlets. Victim scammed out of money, fearing ‘spell’ placed on family The first theft occurred when two people, a man and a woman, entered the store on May 25. The second theft happened when a man came into the store two days later on May 27.

East Stroudsburg University Announces Spring 2024 Dean’s List

A total of 1,404 students have been named to the Dean’s List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2024 semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, according to Margaret Ball D.M.A., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean’s List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade “B” earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade “A” earns 4 quality points per credit. Spring 2024 Dean’s List
