Man allegedly flees from police during stand-off in Monroe County

TOBYHANNA, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man was arrested after he started a stand-off with officers and fled from the window of a home. According to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, on Monday, December 9 around 1:00 a.m. officers were called for a welfare check at Vista Drive in Tobyhanna. Officers said they were told a domestic dispute was happening inside a home where 21-year-old Donti Jackson had pointed a gun at family members. The family was able to safely exit the house after Jackson threatened to not let anyone leave, police stated.

Aevidum club update

Mrs. Giordano is now the co-advisor of Aevidum since Mrs. Tkach has retired from teaching at Stroudsburg. This past month in Aevidum, members hosted a table outside of the cafeteria on “World Kindness Day,” and had a “kindness challenge” jar. Students choose a challenge written on a piece of paper, from the jar, and complete the challenge like holding the door for someone, thanking teachers, and giving compliments, etc.

Campus Community Supports Warrior Food Panty

Imagine having a third parent, who might only be a few years older than you! This is the typical way that younger siblings would describe their older brother or sister.  The theory behind the impact that sibling order can have on an individual’s behavior dates back to the twentieth century and was introduced by Austrian psychotherapist Alfred Adler. After being heavily influenced by Sigmund Freud’s pioneering work, Alder developed the concept of “family constellation,” which proposed that a child’s placement in the sibling hierarchy can influence their strengths, weaknesses, and personality traits.  Over the years, these stereotypes have been developed and edited to fit with modernized perspectives.
