RFPs will be accepted by the Monroe County Commissioners on or before Friday, November 8, 2024, by 11:59 P.M. to be considered for 2025 CSBG funding. Proposals must be returned in the format described in the RFP packet to the Monroe County Fiscal Affairs Office by the date and time listed above. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline. Non-profit and county agencies interested in applying for CSBG may obtain an RFP packet from the Monroe County Fiscal Affairs Office or request by emailing ksmartt@monroecountypa.gov. A Technical Assistance meeting will be held on October 10th, 2024, at 10:00 am, for agencies interested in applying for CSBG funding. A Monroe County business is hoping to bring some relief to the victims of Hurricane Helene. The husband and wife team plan to deliver donations they’re collecting to affected Tennessee residents later this month Dawn Gillow moved to tears as she describes the devastation friends who have become family in Tennessee are facing. Their Smoky Mountain communities have been completely wiped out. Gillow says, "They’re going to be without water for months." Gillow and her husband Kevin were visiting the state when Hurricane Helene hit. Luckily the area where they have their timeshare wasn’t affected. But Gillow’s heart is broken seeing the destruction of the place she loves.
