The borough of Stroudsburg has implemented a new Short-term Rental Ordinance and refined zoning regulations to prohibit short term rentals in residential districts (R-1, R-2 and R-3) and allow it in all other zoning districts. Students at Stroudsburg High School conducted a monthly fire drill on Monday afternoon, October 21, 2024.
The weather couldn’t have been better as the students guided themselves out of the building during the drill.
The temperature was 21° above the average daily high for Stroudsburg. Registering at 77° with clear skies and radiating sun over the Stroudsburg campus.
As November approaches, one can only wonder if Mother Nature will favor us with another sunny day for the monthly drill.
Stroudsburg Volleyball takes on Liberty for district quarterfinals today at 4:00 p.m.
Throughout the regular season, Liberty beat Stroudsburg 3-0 with close scores for each set.
This Mountaineers team strongly believed they have gotten better throughout the season and are ready to win over Liberty. This should be an interesting game that you won´t want to miss.

Some of the themes for our football games include hawaiian, white out, black out, USA, neon, camo, pink out, and many more! These themes are created by our Mountie Maniacs.
Our 2024-2025 Mountie Maniacs are Jessica Klein, ’25, and Anthony Knight, ’25. Klein and Knight always are cheering on our Mountaineers and hyping up our student section.
The Stroudsburg Mountaineers took down and swept the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals. They ended the game with East, 3-0.
This was the first time the Mountaineers have won a district playoff game in school history.
Stroudsburg took the lead in every set and left the Cardinals down by 5 the entire game. Every set was ended with ¨BANGERRRR¨, a statement made by Stroudsburg´s Coach Victor.
