Community Concerts

The Sherman Summer Stage is a mobile outdoor concert venue, having featured live music at multiple venues across Pennsylvania, including Pocono Valley Resort, Scrantastic, The Dansbury Freedom Festival, Mount Airy Casino Resort, and the Pocono Mountain Carnival Grounds. There is nothing better than seeing a concert in the great outdoors. Some of our past Summer Stage shows have included Blues Traveler, Kellie Pickler, Sublime With Rome, Gretchen Wilson, Kansas, KC and The Sunshine Band, Pat Benatar, Brian McKnight, and Collin Raye.

Madden: Women Must Keep the Right to Choose


Pa. state Rep. Maureen Madden speaks against a Pa. Republican attempt to amend the state Constitution to remove a woman's right to choose a safe, legal abortion. Madden says this is not the battle we wanted, but she is confident the voters of Pennsylvania will rise to the occasion and vote down this dangerous reversal of well established precedent.

Madden: SCOTUS Has Become Far Too Political


After standing with Democratic colleagues from the PA House and Senate at a rally Monday decrying the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, state Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, expressed frustration that the branch of government that's supposed to be the least political — the judicial — has instead become the most political. Justices who voted to overturn Roe, she said, perjured themselves, and Madden promised that the fight to protect women's reproductive healthcare, including abortion access, is only beginning.

Summerfest!

Summerfest is today, Saturday June 25! Join us for the best party of the summer! Live music starts at 3:30pm with Kyle Baker, then the Maybabies rock the house from 6:30pm-10pm. We've got great food, lots of games for the whole family, a Bounce House for the kids, plus great cocktails, Pocono Punch on tap, and the tapping of Barley Creek's famous Summerfest Lager. Tickets: $15 at the door. Proceeds benefit Pocono Township Community Services.

Madden: Americans Support Responsible Firearms Ownership


At the 'Fight for Lives' news conference Wednesday, June 8, Pa. state Rep. Maureen Madden said people are demanding action in response to the ongoing gun violence pandemic in this country, particularly when the violence enters our schools. Yet the GOP-led General Assembly refuses to act. How much more violence, heartbreak and death must we suffer before enough is enough, she asks? Pa. Democrats, Madden said, have a vision, a plan and the legislation to make a difference and strengthen the safety of our schools and our communities.
