ESU College of Education Announces Future Teacher Pathway Summit

East Stroudsburg University’s College of Education announced an upcoming Future Teacher Pathway Summit on June 7-8, 2023. The summit will be held on ESU’s campus.

“With the number of teacher candidates and certification drastically declining over the past 10 years in the state of Pennsylvania, it has become critical for institutions of higher education (IHE) and local education associations to think creatively about manning the future workforce,” said Dr. Brooke K. Langan, dean of the College of Education. With this goal in mind, Dr. Langan hosted a Future Teacher Pathway Kickoff in April to discuss a structured framework that would combine the efforts of ESU, Northampton Community College, and a dozen local school districts in solving the shortage long term.
