STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Remembering those who were killed while working along Pennsylvania's roads.

The PennDOT Workers Memorial commemorates the 90 lives that were lost since PennDOT began in 1970.

These were workers who died on the job in work zones.

The white hard hats represent the foremen while the orange hard hats represent the various workers.

This memorial travels around the state and helps to bring awareness to these workplace tragedies and to remind drivers to be careful.
