MOUNT POCONO BOROUGH, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are conducting a homicide investigation after two bodies were found in a Monroe County home.
According to a release from Pocono Mountain Regional Police, on December 23 officers were called to Brookville Terrace in Mount Pocono Borough for a welfare check after a resident there had not been heard from in several days.

Upon arrival, police say that a preliminary check of the property led them to breach the home, where they discovered the bodies of 47-year-old Joann Alberti and 54-year-old Craig Zigarelli.
Police state that "both deaths were violent but were contained within the home" and that the public is in no danger.
