East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) is pleased to announce its third consecutive year of enrollment growth, with 5,636 students registered for Fall 2024—marking a 3.2% increase from the previous year. This sustained growth underscores ESU’s dedication to student success and innovative strategies in higher education.
Notably, the university saw an impressive surge in both transfer students (6.4%) and returning students (4.9%), a testament to the strong sense of community and academic support at ESU.
“I am incredibly proud of the work across our campus to attract and retain students,” said ESU President Kenneth Long. “Our strategy to redesign our student success services has helped us sharpen our focus on increasing student retention and degree completion. These numbers confirm that we are making meaningful progress in building a stronger path to success for every student who joins the Warrior family.”

Brown Launches New Voter FAQ Webpage to Clarify Pennsylvania Election Processes
MONROE – Sen. Rosemary M. Brown (R-40) has unveiled a comprehensive frequently asked questions (FAQ) webpage to address common questions surrounding Pennsylvania elections. The resource is designed to provide voters with clear, factual and unbiased information about how elections are conducted across the commonwealth.
“Ensuring that every voice is heard and every vote is counted is at the core of our democracy,” said Brown. “It is essential that voters feel informed and confident when participating in the election process. My goal with this webpage is to offer a trusted, nonpartisan resource to help voters navigate the upcoming election.”
The new FAQ page addresses increasing concerns from constituents by providing information on topics such as voter registration, ballot access and the vote-counting process without promoting any political viewpoint or reflecting Brown’s policy positions.

Lara DeFreitas, ’25, scooped up amazing digs throughout the matches; Kornelia Wszolek,’25, put up beautiful sets for Emily Bozena, ’25, for a smackdown and kills.
The Lady Mountaineers are now 10-8 in the 2024 season. They have two games left in the season, both home, against Pocono Mountain East and Pleasant Valley.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
M&M’s are releasing the first new permanent flavor since 2022: Peanut Butter and Jelly.
The new flavor is supposed to “evoke the comforting experience of a classic PB&J sandwich,” said Gabrielle Wesley, chief marketing officer of manufacturer Mars Wrigley, during an interview with the New York Post.
Peanut butter M&M’s have long been a fan favorite, but fans are skeptical of the new flavor. During another interview, a critic said, “PBJ only works as the sandwich. Anything flavored like PBJ is usually gross.”
