EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — An NFL draft prospect from Monroe County has sadly passed away.Devastating news hit the football world as AJ Simon, a star at Pocono Mountain West High School, and later on at Bloomsburg University as well as the University of Albany, passed away Tuesday at the age of 25.
Man dead, woman rescued from burning home in Monroe County
HAMILTON TWP., Pa. -- A Monroe County man and his dog are dead, following a fire at their home.But a woman was pulled out of the burning home alive. State Police troopers made the rescue overnight in Hamilton Township, near Stroudsburg.Neighbors say the woman cared for her middle-aged son, who was in a wheelchair, the result of a car accident.
