PSP launch investigation after Monroe Township theft

MONROE TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say they have launched an investigation after over $1,500 in merchandise was stolen from a Monroe Township retail store.

PSP states they were called to the LensCrafters store in the Monroe Marketplace on Thursday, February 13, for a reported retail theft.

Troopers explain that the suspect removed four pairs of high-end sunglasses and replaced three of them with 'inexpensive knock-offs.'

Authorities say the value of the stolen items surpassed $1,500.

State police say they are looking for a person wearing a dark-colored jacket and gray sweatpants who left the scene in a dark-colored mid-size SUV.
