During passionate House floor debate on Dec. 13, which just so happens to be the birthday of both state Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, and international superstar/PA native Taylor Swift, Madden supported the resolution to recognize 2023 as the "Taylor Swift Era" in Pennsylvania. Swift, she said, isn't just about writing breakup songs. She's speaking and working on issues that matter to younger generations, like a woman's right to choose, saving our environment, and getting people registered to vote.
