ARREST
On July 10, 2024, at approximately 0518 hours, Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Hickory Valley Farm Restaurant. Upon arrival Officers located Jerriel Smith a 40-year-old male from Pocono Summit, attempting to make entry through windows on the roof. Smith was ordered down from the roof and taken into custody. Upon further investigation it was determined that Smith made multiple attempts to gain entry into the building but was unsuccessful. While in custody Smith resisted arrest and attempted to assault an officer. Smith was placed into the Monroe County Correctional Facility where he was arraigned and bail was set at $30,000.
