The Borough of East Stroudsburg enacted a short term rental ordinance in 2021. The ordinance requires licensing and a list of requirements including the use of a private trash hauler. TOBYHANNA TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police charged a man after they allege he threatened troopers while being arrested for a hit-and-run incident.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on October 25 troopers were called to investigate a driver that almost hit another car in Tobyhanna Township.
Police say the vehicle fit the description of a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Wilkes-Barre

Early Sunday Morning, East Stroudsburg University students received an email notifying them of shots fired near the Zimbar Gym.
University police have detained several persons of interest related to the shooting.
