Halloween Fun in Pennsylvania

Halloween falls on Thursday, October 31. This means the Spooky Season is in full effect! Pennsylvania -and especially The Pocono Mountains- are known for having many kinds of activities around this time of year. From pumpkin picking to haunted hayrides, to fall festivals, Pennsylvania has it all. Take a look at what events may interest you.

Seasonal Activities in Pennsylvania Haunted Attractions

Poconos Park offers different types of attractions for all ages. Ride a haunted hayride, Trick-or-Treat trail, or to turn up the heat, enter the Playhouse of Horror!

If you enjoy the horror portion of Halloween, look at the Hotel of Horror. This terrifying hotel of monsters once was a stagecoach stop until it was abandoned. Are you brave enough to step inside?

Historic Ventures

The Ghost Walk in Old Mauch Chunk tells the historic significance of Jim Thorpe.

Listen to chilling music as you walk around the Pocono Mountain lake.

Experience the ordinary Camelback amusement park, along with 3 special Halloween events!

At night, ghouls and monsters will lurk Hersheypark from ride-to-ride. Moreover, new coasters and haunted houses have been added to double the excitement!

The scariest monsters just came to the parks for Halloween - and Dorney is one of them. Enjoy Dorney's massive amusement adventures alongside the frightening ghosts and demons that lurk at night.

If you want to experience life on the farm, Mountaindale Farm is for you.

With many other playful and fun customs to this fall venue, Mazezilla offers many different types of pumpkins to take home with you this season.

Klingel Farms ranges from face painting, to pumpkins, to produce. They have acres of land dedicated to pumpkins.

Traditional Activities

East Stroudsburg will be hosting a trick-or-treat on October 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

If you like all things Halloween, this event is for you. Also, there will be trick-or-treating as you walk down Main Street.

  • Apple Picking

Knob View is a farm known for their specialty of garlic. They also do apple picking, roadside stands, and homegrown food shops.

There are not many apple picking farms near Stroudsburg, but Brook Hollow is a gorgeous farm located in New Jersey. This farm, especially, is known for their beautiful apple orchard.
