PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TAKE NOTICE that the Barrett Township Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Barrett Administrative and Recreation Complex, 1200 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326. The purpose of the special meeting will be to appoint a successor supervisor to fill a vacancy on the Board of Supervisors, to consider other personnel appointments, and to conduct any other business that may come before the Board.
As the Stroudsburg Rifle teams’ regular season comes to a close, they end the season with a record of 8-2. With a comfortable third-seed finish, they can confidently say this was a successful season.
The Mountaineers only had one match that went down to the Xs, against a competitive Emmaus team that they beat 497 40x to 497 38x. The rest of their wins came smoothly with multiple 10+ point differential matches during the season.
The team this year is senior-heavy, having four of the five top shooters in almost all matches being the class of ‘25.
My Wesleyan Methodist family was loving and supportive, even as I rejected the church as a teenager. I had a profound religious experience the summer before college. While at college, I discovered one could have a strong faith and pursue serious intellectual questions. I was challenged to read the Sermon on the Mount in a new way.
