REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP Sealed bids for the following road materials will be accepted by the Smithfield Township Board of Supervisors at 1155 Red Fox Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, until 10:00AM prevailing time on Monday, June 23, 2025, at which time said proposals will be opened at 10:05AM and read aloud. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded at the Board of Supervisors regular meeting on July 8, 2025 at 6:00PM at the address above. 600 tons (more or less) PA 2-A Subbase 200 tons (more or less) AASHTO #8 stone 300 tons (more or less) AASHTO#57 stone 400 tons (more or less) Select Granular Material - 2RC 400 tons (more or less) AASHTO #3 stone 100 tons (more or less) AASHTO #1 stone 100 tons (more or less) AASHTO #10 stone 3,000 tons (more or less) Superpave Wearing Course, 9.5mm, 0.0 - 0.3 ESAL 500 tons (more or less) Superpave Wearing Course, 9.5mm, Any ESAL 500 tons (more or less) Superpave Binder Course, 12mm, 0.0 - 0.3 ESAL 500 tons (more or less) Superpave Binder Course, 19mm, 0.0 - 0.3 ESAL 500 tons (more or less) Superpave Binder Course, 19mm, Any ESAL 500 tons (more or less) Superpave Binder Course, 25mm, 0.0 - 0.3 ESAL 50 tons (more or less) QPR Cold Patch All materials must conform to PennDOT specifications. All prices shall be quoted FOB as well as Delivered. All bids must be submitted on the form provided by the Township, available for pick up at the above address or by emailing julia@smithfieldtownship.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid. Each proposal shall be clearly marked Bid Proposal for letting of 6/23/2025 on the outside of the envelope. No responsibility will be attached to any Township representative for the premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and/or identified. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond equal to 50% of the contract and a certificate of liability and workers compensation insurance. The Township reserves the right to award bids independently to separate bidders when bids for more than one item are included on the proposal form. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicality or formality therein. Failure of the bidder to sign the bid may be cause for rejection of the bid. Any bidder may withdraw their bid at any time before the time set for receipt of bids. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the bids are received.
