Frolic offers two weekends of fun for the entire family as Quiet Valley comes alive with baby animals! This is a unique opportunity for children and the young-at-heart to see a variety of animals up close and personal. Watch baby chicks hatching from their eggs and feel the soft fur of the baby bunnies. Don't miss the lambs with their woolly fleeces and the frisky baby goats. The adorable baby piglets with their funny little noses charm everyone. Get to know the workhorses, Jenny and Judy, and all they are used for on the farm. Saturdays 10am to 4pm Sundays 10am to 4pm At the Gate: $18 Adults / $10 Ages 3-12 / Under 3 free All tickets will be sold by cash or card at the gate. No advanced tickets are available for this event. Other Activities include: traditional children's games, a children's show, spring plant sale, and Timeless Treasures vintage collectibles for sale Wagon Rides ($5 per person ages 3 and up) 10am to 4pm Refreshments available under the food tent Sheep Shearing - Saturday from 10:30 until shearing is done Sheep shearer Margaret Quinn uses traditional hand blades to shear the fleeces off the Quiet Valley sheep. The wool is used on the farm as it is washed, spun into yarn, dyed and then woven into cloth on the cabin loom during the summer. Sheep to Shawl - Saturday The spinners and weavers will be doing a Sheep to Shawl demonstration where they will take a freshly sheared fleece, spin it into yarn and weave it into a shawl all in one day. The shawl will be raffled off at our Old Time Christmas event in December. One Room School presentations - Daily; See signs Get a glimpse of a typical school day circa 1893. All funds raised support the mission of the non-profit farm museum No pets, no smoking, prices and schedules subject to change
