Public Hearing for Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (LERTA) Ordinance

LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Pocono, County of Monroe, Pennsylvania (the BOC), will hold a Public Hearing to be held at 6:00 p.m. on the 6th day of January, 2025, at the Pocono Township Municipal Building located at 112 Township Dr., Tannersville, PA 18372 (the Municipal Building). The Public Hearing shall be held pursuant to 72 P.S. § 4725, for the purpose of determining the boundaries of a deteriorated area or areas, wholly or partially located within the municipal boundaries for a proposed Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (LERTA) Ordinance. At the Public Hearing all local taxing authorities, the Pocono Township Planning Commission, the Monroe County Planning Commission, any redevelopment authority and other public and private agencies and individuals, knowledgeable and interested in the improvement of deteriorated areas, shall present their recommendations concerning the location of boundaries of a deteriorated area or areas for the guidance of the BOC. Copies of the proposed LERTA Ordinance are available for review at the Municipal Building, during normal business hours. Leo V.
