Pocono Mountain School District Student Information Exposed in Cybersecurity Breach

Pocono Mountain School District (PMSD) has announced that it was informed of a cybersecurity breach involving its third-party vendor, PowerSchool, on January 8, 2025. PowerSchool, a widely used student information database provider serving over 18,000 school organizations across the United States, reported the breach and has launched a forensic audit to determine the extent of the damage.

Borough of Stroudsburg Tax Ordinance Public Hearing

Notice Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Stroudsburg intends to enact a tax ordinance at the regular meeting of the council on January 7th, 2025. The tax will be levied on producers of amusements, levying assessments and collecting taxes imposed upon any facility which charges an admission within the Borough of Stroudsburg. The tax will support general government administration and is expected to raise $40,000.
