Interview with Tony Montalto of 'Stand with Parkland'
On behalf of Pa. state Rep. Maureen Madden, Northeast Delegation Director Geoff Morrow sits down with Stand with Parkland president Tony Montalto, whose 14-year-old daughter, Gina Rose, was among those killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre on Valentine's Day 2018. Montalto and other Parkland families who suffered unimaginable loss that day have been working in Florida and across the county to make school children and teachers safer. In Pennsylvania, that has meant working closely with Rep. Madden and other members to share ideas, examine avenues and find pragmatic solutions to help improve school safety here in the commonwealth.

We Need To Do Better By Victims and Survivors of Sexual Assault
Delaware Water Gap, PA – We are disheartened and frustrated on behalf of all survivors following the outcome of a trial earlier last week where a former police officer was found not guilty of using his position of authority and power to rape a woman who, in his own words, was obviously inebriated and over the legal limit of alcohol consumption to drive. The verdict from the jury reflects the challenges sexual assault survivors face when they come forward in hopes of seeking justice, to share their experiences of sexual harassment, abuse, and assault in the criminal justice system.

New Rooftop Bar
Today, Barley Creek announced plans for a two-story rooftop bar to be built above the Onyx Room at Barley Creek's original brewpub and restaurant on Sullivan Trail in Tannersville. The High Tide Upper Deck Sky Bar -- HIGH BAR for short-- will feature two bars, an organic hop garden, an interactive Moonshine Fountain, and an eclectic menu of specialties such as Deep Fried Margaritas, Cheese Foam Submarines, and PB&J Shots, made with Barley Creek's own craft Peanut Butter Whiskey and Grape Jello.
Barley Creek co-founder Trip Ruvane, who can rarely resist a poorly-timed pun, said, "We wanted to set the bar high for the HIGH BAR. We're aiming for the ultimate HIGH experience for guests, with expansive views overlooking the Pint Size Park and Camelback Mountain, plus a ton of fun themed activities like Goat Yoga, Lawn Mower Races, and Zombie Apocalypse sim nights."
