On December 6, 2023, the State Real Estate Commission levied a $1,000 civil penalty and revoked the real estate salesperson license of Anthony Diaz, license number RS332149, of East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, based upon their felony convictions and failure to report those convictions to the Commission.

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for a woman allegedly involved in a bank fraud scheme.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department is investigating a crime on June 27 at the First Keystone Community Bank on Main Street in Stroudsburg.

Police say a woman tried to deposit a "high-dollar" fraudulent check using a false identification card.  

POCONO TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One man was arrested, and three men are wanted after police say a basketball game led to a fight with gun threats.

According to the Pocono Township Police Department, on July 8 around 7:00 p.m., officers were called to TLC Park basketball court for a report of 5-6 people fighting.

Through further investigation, police said they learned a disagreement between eight men happened during a basketball game that led to a fight.

Witnesses on the scene said that one man took out a gun and pointed it at several people on the court, officers stated. The man with the gun and three others fled the scene in the same car before police arrived.
