On August 19, 2024, Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of Pocono Premium Outlets for a report of two suspicious males looking inside of and attempting to open doors of parked vehicles. One of the witnesses provided a description of the males to Monroe County Control Center. Upon arrival, Officers located the males identified as Beka Kvernadze a 33-year-old male from Brooklyn, NY and Lashia Gersamia a 32-year-old male from Jackson, NJ. After further investigation and following more witness statements, a consent search was completed on their vehicle. Officers located tools inside of the vehicle consistent with manipulating vehicle computers to create key fobs, ultimately to steal vehicles.

Warrants have been issued for Beka Kvernadze and Lashia Gersamia for Conspiracy to Commit Theft By Unlawful Taking (F3) and Possessing Instruments Of A Crime (M1).
