On early Sunday morning, October 27, students were enjoying a Halloween costume party at Zimbar Gym when people noticed many non-students entering the party. They called the police for help, and soon after they arrived, five shots went off in a nearby parking lot. Luckily, no one was harmed. A couple of people have been detained for questioning. This is an ongoing investigation, so if anyone has further helpful information or video footage, East Stroudsburg University encourages you to call 570-422-3064.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on October 25 troopers were called to investigate a driver that almost hit another car in Tobyhanna Township. Early Sunday Morning, East Stroudsburg University students received an email notifying them of shots fired near the Zimbar Gym. University police have detained several persons of interest related to the shooting.
