Moravian University, located in Bethlehem, Pennslyvnia is approximately 280 years old. The college is home to a multitude of spirits and ghost stories of its own.

“The Shadow”

This mysterious tale takes place in the music building on the south side of Moravian’s campus.

Shane Hansen was in the coffee house and wanted to grab a drink from the vending machine on the second floor of the music building on a Wednesday night. While getting a drink, Hansen noted that there was a stairwell that lead down to an exit door of the building. He looked down the staircase and saw a human figure looking back up at him.

“It looked like a shadow and I couldn’t see any details,” Hansen reported. “It was probably about my size, maybe a bit bigger.”

Hansen stated that the figure then turned and went through the door, leaving the building. In a panicked state, Shane Hansen turned and ran back to the coffee house.

“Time Passes, And So Will You”

A freshman student was living in freshman residence hall of the campus, which is known as the Main Hall. The student stated that they lived in a double by themselves on the fourth floor of the building. A white board calendar had been hung by the student, on the back wall of one of the two closets in the dorm room.

One morning the student woke up to see that the calendar had fallen from it place and initially the student assumed the command hook had broken.

After rehanging the board, the student went to sleep the next night and was suddenly woken by the sound of something crashing down. Turning on the lights, they discovered that the white board didn’t just fall, it had been placed by the side of the student’s bed, which was located on the opposite side of the room.

“I took my white board and put it somewhere else and it never moved again,” stated the student. “I was terrified! It flew at my bed!”
