Football prepares for Wilkes-Barre

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Last Friday, Stroudsburg won their first game of their season, defeating Wallenpaupack, 30-10.

They look to start 2-0 for the first time since 2020 and for a first time in a full season since 2013.

Now they prepare for Wilkes-Barre who are 1-0 on the season. Wilkes-Barre won their first game against Whitehall, 27-10. In 2023, Wilkes-Barre had a record of 6-5 and lost in the first round of the district playoffs to Nazareth.

Over the last couple of years, Stroudsburg has relied on the run game, something that has led them to the playoffs the last two years. In their opening game, Stroudsburg threw the ball a lot more than usual leading to five receptions for 118 yards and two receiving touchdowns by WR Kamari Coleman, ’25.

Stroudsburg looks for their best start in a full season in over 11 years as they take on Wilkes-Barre tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
