ARRESTDetails MapOn June 17th, 2024, at approximately 12:54 A.M., officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were on patrol in the area of route 611 and the Scotrun Diner. While there, they observed a silver Subaru Legacy traveling north. The officer paced the vehicle to be traveling at a speed of 60 miles per hour, and also observed the vehicle to cross the center lines several times. They conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle on route 611 near the Desaki restaurant. The officers made contact with the driver and defendant, Shiv Veeramootoo and a DUI investigation followed. Standardized field sobriety tests were conducted, and the defendant was found to be impaired.
The defendant was then arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and charged with general impairment. Charges have been filed.
