On Sunday August 4th, at 0159 hrs, SARPD was dispatched to 137 N. Ninth St in Stroudsburg Boro for a reported broken front window of the Pocono Pizza and Wings restaurant. Upon arrival of officers, they discovered 2 large front windows smashed out with a metal chair and 4x4 piece of wood lying in close proximity. Officers then observed the defendant, Michael SAMLER, lying inside the business by the front door asleep. SAMLER was awakened and taken into custody by officers. He was found highly intoxicated and incoherent. SAMLER was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for his intoxication as well as cuts received from the broken glass.

Officers found damage to two freezers and cooler inside of the business. Multiple food items and other miscellaneous items were thrown around the business. Three tablets were discovered from the roadway in front of the business, all of which were smashed.

The business owner arrived on scene and confirmed with officers that SAMLER was not authorized to be in the business and was not known by the owner. Upon release from the hospital, SAMLER was charged and taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility for arraignment on the following charges:
