On July 26, 2024, at approximately 1856 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of Camelbeach Waterpark. Upon arrival Officers made contact with half of the domestic and were attempting to make contact with another involved male party, identified as Mohamed E. Rouis, a 23-year-old male from Philadelphia. Eventually Rouis was located. While officers were speaking to Rouis, a consent search led to the discovery of a controlled substance. Rouis proceeded to flee on foot and was pursued and apprehended by officers after some resistance. Rouis was found to possess an active arrest warrant out of Butler Township Police Department for resisting arrest and escape.

Rouis was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment and extradition.
